When clients ask what it’s like to work with me, I never quite know how to answer without saying… “Well, it depends.” Because I’m not working off a checklist. I’m working off you.
The truth is, I’m focused on you. I need to know what you need.
I listen to the tone of your voice. I notice how you talk about your partner. I watch how you react to design inspiration. I’ll even ask for your birthday because, yes, I check your horoscope. It hasn’t failed me yet. (I know it’s a little weird. I also know it works for me.)
I believe the most beautiful events don’t come from trends or templates. They come from who you and your people are.
Logistics happen, yes. But anyone can build a spreadsheet. Once we’ve established your guest count, venue, and date, we start building. Not the spreadsheet (that was done at the start), the look of the event, the feel of it.
We’ll create mood boards together. Go dress shopping. Share meals. Get inspired. I become part of your circle — because that’s what it takes to create a truly meaningful event where you and your guests feel cared for. I want to feel who you are so I can design a space that reflects it back.
This is Houston full-service event planning. That might be a lot of words, but there is a heartbeat behind it. It’s people, it’s always about people.
And then? We get technical.
While you’re getting excited about florals and music, I’m measuring layout spacing, reviewing permits, sourcing vendors who fit your budget, and asking every vendor when they need to arrive. I coordinate schedules, manage details, and host final walkthroughs. I double-check everything—then check it again.
And on the day-of? I’m up early. Anticipating and excited, always. Helping unload, hang, move, tweak. Hiding the alcohol from the groomsmen. 😂
Because if something needs to be done — I’m doing it. That’s just who I am.
Some planners stick to the timeline. I stick to the experience.
I’m not just trying to make the day run smoothly. I want you to feel cared for. I want you to enjoy it, live in it, remember it.
And yeah… I probably get too attached to my brides and get a little teary eyed when I step back and see how much people are having fun. I care deeply, even when the budget is tight. Maybe that’s not always “great business.” But it’s real. And I wouldn’t change it. I can’t change it.
More than talk and more than words. I’m trying so hard to sound forward, to project the confidence I feel. I’m not the type of person who wants to be the center of attention. I prefer to put that attention on you. On your guests.
So, here’s what my family told me to write.
From Linda, you’re always going to get real support, real honesty, real planning and a lot of heart.
If you’re planning a wedding or event in Houston and want more than surface-level service — if you want someone who notices your little things and brings it all together with care — you’re in the right place.
I’m ready when you are. Hope to hear from you soon. Xo Linda
